Local MP, Luke Graham, welcomed Esther McVey, Secretary of State for the Department for Work and Pensions, to Alloa on Wednesday.
The Secretary of State’s visit was part of a broader Scotland visit that also took in Stirling.
While in Clackmannanshire, the Secretary of State met with key Job Centre personnel and case workers from Luke Graham MP’s office to understand the pros and cons of welfare reform and see first-hand where the welfare system is doing well and where improvement is needed.
A key part of the visit was a meeting with key stakeholders in Alloa Job Centre to discuss current and future welfare plans.
