In 2014 people in Scotland voted decisively to remain part of our United Kingdom in a referendum that the Scottish Government itself said would be a 'once in a generation' vote. The Prime Minister has been clear that the UK Government will continue to fully respect the result of that referendum.
The United Kingdom is the most successful political and economic union in history and I believe that together we are safer, stronger and more prosperous.
The majority of constituents I speak to want to move on from division and uncertainty as part of the UK. The last thing they want or need right now is another independence referendum.
The SNP should focus its attention on the issues that really matter to people in Scotland; growing the Scottish economy and tackling the issues in our schools and our NHS.
